Aroet Parry Taylor Parry Taylor 11/27/1926 ~ 1/22/2008 Aroet Parry Taylor, 81, of Hinckley, UT passed away peacefully Jan. 22, 2008 in Delta. Born in Ruth, NV on Nov. 27, 1926 to Aroet Franklin and Ella May Parry Taylor. Entered the Army at 18 and served as Military Policeman for two years in Italy during World War II. Parry was a cowboy his whole life. Loved a good horse and a good dog. Loved his cattle and farming. Loved rock hounding, hunting and helping move cattle with his son-in-laws on Frisco Mt. and the Sheeprocks. Rode broncs, bulls, roped and steer wrestled in rodeos all over Utah and surrounding states. Worked for W.W. Clyde, building roads like: SR 50-6, Robin's Lake near Holden and up near Devil's Slide. Worked in mines near Eureka, and worked for Lafe Moorely, Glen Bennion, Lincoln Cropper and Ray Skinner. Also worked 25 years for Millard County Road Dept. Parry met Jeanne Ekker at Ekker's Ranch on Sheeprock Mountains in Tooele County. Sent to bring "those Ekker girls" into town to try out for Rodeo Queen for Days of Old West Rodeo in Deseret. Jeanne and sister, Ann, came to town and they won the royalty. Parry won Jeanne's heart and All-Around Cowboy the summer of 1957. Parry and Jeanne were married June 7, 1958 in Hinckley, Utah. Marriage later solemnized in Manti Temple on Jan. 19, 1978. This marriage was blessed with four daughters: Tammy (Shaun) Pearson of Minersville; Marjorie (Phil) Adams of Sutherland; Becky (Randy) Robison of South Jordan; and Beverly (Russell) Carter of Beaver. Survived by wife: Jeanne; their daughters; 14 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; two sisters: Beatrice Schena of Hinckley, Emma Lea Taylor of Salt Lake City; three brothers: Forrest Taylor of Hinckley, Darrell Taylor of Deseret and Floyd Taylor of St. George. Preceded in death by parents, and step-mother, Reva Spendlove Taylor. Services: Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, 11 a.m., Hinckley Ward LDS Church. Friends call at Nickle Mortuary, Sunday night, 6:30-7:30 p.m., and at church, Monday 9:30-10:40 a.m. Burial Hinckley Cemetery. Published in the Salt Lake Tribune on 1/26/2008.
