Bio

Dollie Dorcas (Ward) Smith died at 5:40 a.m. Jan. 21, 2011, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur. She was born in Bethany on July 23, 1914 to Charles and Lea Crowder Ward. She married Irving "Irv" Smith in 1935 in Decatur. He passed away April 23, 1989. She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Nancy; one brother and three sisters. Surviving are two sons, Larry I. Smith of Breese and Dwight Kent (Jantha) Smith of Cerro Gordo; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
