Bio
Son of Chas Clifford Allen and Jennie (Berryman) Allen. served in US Army in Gen Patton's 3rd Army in Europe, WW II, was a radioman. Very handy fixing things mechanical or electrical. Came home after WW II and started to take over farm of his parents which he hated. Ended up being a house painter and retired from Callahans Store in Greeley. Had heart bypass surgery at Veterans Hospital in Omaha, NE. Surgery went well but he contracted staph infection which he died from. Raised 8 children by himself after his wife died (he did hire one CRAZY housekeeper for a short time for some help cooking and cleaning). Buried with his wife in the Catholic Section of the cemetery.
