Bio

Bradley M. Allen Sr., 64, of Grand Island passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022. Service and Celebration of Brad's life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 5th, at All Faiths Funeral Home. There will be a visitation at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday. Brad was born July 2, 1958, in Grand Island, the son of James C. and Lucille K. (Armatas) Allen. He grew up in Greeley, graduating from Greeley High School, class of 1976. On June 18, 1983, Brad married Carrie Freeman. They made their home and raised their family in Grand Island. Brad was a Jack of all Trades, and Master of most. His enjoyments included working on cars and fishing, which had earned him the nickname, Master Baiter, given to him by his mother-in-law. He was also an avid Husker football fan. In recent years, he loved the time spent with his grandchildren. Those who cherish his memory include wife of 39 years, Carrie; children, Bradley Jr. (Lauren) Allen, Melissa "Missy" Allen and her children, Lily, James and Delilah; Lucy (Matt) Lewin and their daughter, Cora, all of Grand Island, and Shannon (Patrick) Wells of York. He is also survived by brother, Tim Allen of Lincoln; sisters, Linda (Jim) Donahue of Farwell and Myrtle Allen of Central City; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jake C. Allen Jr., Mickey Allen and Billy "Goat" Allen; and sister, Shannon Allen.
