Bio
Catherine L. (Kay) Cover was born on the family farm on Hwy 281 in Mt.Pleasant Twp., Greeley County, Nebraska. Her parents were Chas Clifford Allen and Jennie Selfridge Berryman. She married Robert Eugene Cover May 28, 1949 at the old St. Mary Catholic Church in Berea (Cleveland suburb). Helped her sister Elizabeth Allen Wilson take care of her small kids before marrying Robert. Moved to Warren, Michigan from Old Brooklyn area of Cleveland in June of 1955. She lived in the same home at 32531 St. Anne from 1955 until her death in 2006. Mother of Thomas (Julie), Robert (Sherry), Gregory, Karen (Ted) Cover, 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Preceded in death by parents, siblings Margaret Allen, James Allen and Elizabeth (Rosella) Wilson. Was adventurous in her younger days, came to Detroit in the mid 1940's after the war to find employment as she had two Allen uncles living there, Frank and wife Winnie and Ray. This wasn't meant to be so she went back to Cleveland. In the late 1940's and early 1950's she worked for Industrial Rayon Co. and American Greetings Co. both in Cleveland.
