The Telephone Register, McMinnville, Ore., Thursday, May 26, 1949 JEFFERSON WOMAN PASSES IN HOME Funeral services were held Tuesday, 1:30 p.m. at Macy and Sons for Sarah Jane Garlick, who passed away at her home in Jefferson May 19. She had resided there for eleven years. She was born in Belmont, Wisconsin March 6, 1861, the daughter of James and Betty Garber, both deceased. In 1880, she was married to John Franklin Garlick, in Hamilton county, Nebraska, who preceeded her in death April 22, 1925. The deceased is survived by two sons, Ray Willard Garlick, Jefferon, and James S. Garlick, Portland; daughters, Mrs. Josie Burt, Clackamas, Mrs. Pearl Smith, Vale, Mrs. Nellie Shively, Albany and Mrs. Mary Elston, Leaburg. Also 20 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. May Martin, McMinnville, and Mrs. Fannie Adams, Wisconin. Mrs. Lamb, Salem, read her service and pallbearers were J. Belknap, Elmo Brown, Delmer Davidson, Jake Gilmore, Nelson Gilmore, and Ernest Freeman. Interment was in Evergreen Memorial Park.
