She married William Henry McMains in Frontier County, Nebraska, on March 15, 1899. Josie Pauline Burt VALE — Josie Pauline Burt, 83, died Friday at the home of her sister Mrs. E D. Smith, in Vale. She was born Feb. 2, 1882, in Nebraska and lived with her sister the past six years. She is a member of the Christian Science Society in Ontario and belongs to the Mother Church of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston. Survivors include two sons, Lester F. McMains of Portland and Foster R. McMains, Coos Bay, Ore.; a daughter, Mrs. Cecilia Blotzer, Empire, Ore.; two brothers, Ray W. Garlick, Talbot, Ore., and. James F. Garlick, Florence, Ore.; three sisters, Mrs, E. D. Smith, Vale, Mrs, C. A. Mayers of Talbot and Mrs. W. M. Elston, Leaburg, Ore.; eight grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in the Bertelson-Lienkaemper Chapel, Ontario, with Mrs. Lillian Glenn as Christian Science Reader. Interment will be at Valley View Cemetery, Vale.
