BENJAMIN ELLIS, JR. & wife Hannah left N.C. with their family into Ky.. from there they went to Tenn. then to Ala. and later moved a few counties over to Miss. The family headed for Texas and arrived in 1839. Children of Benjamin and Hannah are; 1. Rebekah 2. Nancy 3. Lavincy 4. Michael 5. Ira 6. Christoper 7. Mary Jane 8. John Irving Ellis 9. Dr. Charles McHenry Ellis 1817-1880 Benjamin died Oct 1843, Lone Pine, Houston County, Texas Buried; Rockland Cemetery.
