Private family inurnment for Robert L. "Bob" Pospisil, 66, of Norfolk, will be held at a later date at the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, rural Pierce. Military rites will be conducted by the Tomek-Otto Post #72 of Pierce and the United States Army Honor Guard. Bob passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at the Norfolk Veterans Home in Norfolk. Bob was born on October 15, 1957 in Norfolk, Nebraska to Lewis and Hilda (Vyhlidal) Pospisil. He attended grade school in Pierce and graduated from Pierce High School in 1975. Bob served in the United States Army from October 21, 1975 to October 11, 1979. He married Diane Papstein on April 24, 1981 in Yankton, SD. After marriage, the couple lived in Pierce. Bob did custodial work at Pierce Public Schools, Sunset Plaza, Bloomfield Public Schools until he became disabled. He has been at the Norfolk Veterans Home since 2022. He enjoyed watching football, especially the San Francisco 49ers and the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He also enjoyed fishing and playing pool. Survivors include his children Jessica (Mindy) Pospisil-Holliday of Des Moines, IA, Patti Pospisil of Pierce, John (Adrienne) Pospisil of Humphrey, Ryan (Felicia) Pospisil of Norfolk, 7 grandchildren, sister Rhonda (Jim) Rowley of Pierce. He was preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Hilda, grandson Dylan Pospisil, sisters Rachele Pospisil and Rebecca Krienert.
