Bio

Pete Jones married Fila Mae Edwards on 4 June 1939, in Socorro, NM. Pete & Fila moved to Park City, UT, where Pete worked in a silver mine. Both of their children were born there in Park City; David Lee 1 Mar. 1940 and Carol Ann 24 May 1941. Pete tried to join the military at the beginning of the war, but was rejected for physical reasons. About 1942 the Jones family moved to the Los Angeles area where Pete & Fila both worked in the LA shipyards. A third child, a baby boy, was stillborn in Los Angeles about 1943/44. They were living in San Bernardino, CA by 1953. About that time both went to work at Norton Air Force Base in San Bernardino. Pete was a supervisor/supply officer and Fila was a supervisor in records keeping. They retired from the Civil Service in 1964. Their children had both married in the late '50's (Dave in 58 & Carol in 59). About 1965 they moved to Las Vegas, NV where they managed several motels and a mobile home park until they retired about 1973 (except for brief stays in NM & Tuscon, AZ 1968-69).
