Maggie May Brandon came with her family from the Fort Worth area to Hardeman co., TX c. 1900-1901. She worked as a school teacher c. 1905-1910 in Goodlett, TX, Forestburg, Montague co., TX and Eldorado, Jackson co., OK. She married Emzy Dudley Jones 27 Nov. 1910 in Hardeman co., TX. They had children in Texas; Charles Dudley "Buck" 1911, Olive Ruth (Keene) 1913, Allen Early "Pete" 1914, Horace Orville "Jack" 1917, Ella Nadine (Twyeffort) 1919, Zona Marie (Kiehne) 1921, Lillian Merle "Lil" (Clodi) 1923, Mary Lavinia 1926. In 1926 the Jones family left Hardeamn co., Texas in a Model T. Son Daniel Austin was born in New Mexico in 1929.
