Bio

Nannie was the sweetest lady that ever lived.She was a wonderful mother of 2 daughters Grandmother of 4 and a great grandmother of 6. Not a day goes by that she is not thought of and missed so much. Every spring when the flowers start to bloom and the grass turns green I remember how much she loved being outdoors working in the yard or just sitting in her swing enjoying life.We still miss you so much. Mrs. Floy (Nannie) Steed, 81, of Elm Mott, died Aug. 12, 1995. Graveside services will be at Gerald Cemetery, Chaplain Curtis Holland officiating. Mrs. Steed was born April 5, 1914 in Hopkins County near the Brashear community where she was raised and educated. She worked at Hillcrest Hospital in the maternity ward for 19 years before retiring in 1980. She lived in the Waco/Elm Mott area since 1957. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.C. Steed. Survivors include two daughters: Phyllis Pavelka and Sue Wilshire (Richard) both of Elm Mott; a brother Deryl Owen of Athens; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. daughter Phyllis Cheryl Steed Pavelka Foster
