Obit for Emil Joe Reznicek, Emil Joe Reznicek, age 74, of Kaufman passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2002, at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas following a lengthy illness. Services for Mr. Reznicek were held 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2002, at the Kaufman Cemetery with Rev. D.G. Council officiating. Interment followed. Mr. Reznicek was born June 23, 1928, in the Lone Star Community of Kaufman to the late Joe and Lucy Pekar Reznicek. He was a member of the St. Ann Catholic Church in Kaufman. Mr. Reznicek served in the 36th Infantry Division of the Texas National Guard. He worked for Terrell State Hospital for 21 years as a warehouse supervisor and worked on his own farm following retirement. He married Evelyn Stastny in 1975 and remained happily married for 27 years. Mr. Reznicek is survived by his wife Evelyn Stastny Reznicek of Kaufman; son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Victoria Martin Stastny of Kaufman; daughter and son-in-law, Joyce Stastny and Jimmy Pool of Kaufman; sister, Adell Reznicek Holick of Terrell; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Rosie Reznicek of Kaufman; grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Jason and Aimee Morales Stastny of Kaufman, and James and Kacy Ochs Stastny of Kaufman; grandson, Brian Pool of Kaufman; granddaughter, Ali Martin of Kaufman; grandson, Beau Martin of Kaufman; nephews, Rudy Holick of Terrell, Randy Reznicek of Kaufman, and Jodie Reznicek of Mabank; 3 great grandchildren all of Kaufman. Visitation for family and friends was held Monday, July 1, 2002, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson Clayton Bros. Funeral Home in Kaufman, Texas.
