Vernon Paul Kindle, 64, of Hideaway Lake, died Thursday, at 10:30 a.m. in a Temple hospital. Services will be held in Rader Chapel at 2 p.m. Saturday with burial in Kilgore Cemetery. Mr. Kindle was born June 17, 1919, in Electra, Texas but lived most of his life in East Texas. He was retired from Woolley Tool co. , and also formerly worked for Gulf Oil Company. He was a member of First Baptist Church and Danville Masonic Lodge in Kilgore. He was a graduate of Overton High School, Kilgore College and Stephen F. Austin State University. Surviving are his wife, Betty Jo; two sons, Gene Kindle, Hideaway Lake, and John Kindle, Houston; a daughter, Susan Moore, Bryan; his mother, Mrs. Winnie Lou Kindle, Kilgore; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Brown, Kilgore and Mrs. Bill Ellis, Fort Worth; five brothers, R.A. Kindle, Shreveport, Pete Kindle, Richardson, Hugh L. Kindle, Houston, Toby Kindle, Longview, and Eddie Lou Kindle, Kilgore; six grandchildren, seven nieces and nephews.
