Bio

Grace Elizabeth Hubbard died March 5th, 2005, in Oklahoma City. Grace was born November 11th, 1914 in Yukon, Oklahoma. She was one of 12 children born to Frank & Callie Pazoureck. She attended Yukon High School, graduating in 1931. She also attended O.U. and Central State Collage, where she was crowned beauty queen in 1936. She married Dr. Ralph W. Hubbard in 1937. During WWII, while Dr. Hubbard was a POW in the Philippines, she volunteered at Children's Memorial Hospital. After the war she became active in Eastern Star, becoming Worthy Matron in 1948. She was also active in Daughters of the Nile. She is preceded in death by her husband Dr. Ralph Hubbard and her youngest son, Michael Albert Hubbard, and step son Dr. Ralph Hubbard Jr. Grace was a long time employee of Andy Anderson's in their ladies department. She retired when the store closed in the late 80's. Grace's greatest joy came from her family and extended church family. She also loved ballroom dancing and participated in many competitions. She is survived by her sons Joseph W. Hubbard, his wife Kay and family of OKC, and Dr. Frank (Ike) Hubbard, his wife Denise and family of Cushing, daughter Hannah Melissa and husband Nelson Bose and family of OKC, granddaughter Regan Foree of OKC. Grace is also survived by her sister Lillibel Lucy of Tulsa, OK and many close nieces and nephews. Grace was an appropriate name for her, as she was truly a gentle and loving person.
