Melvin "Poppa" Ingram, age 87, of Palestine, Texas died December 21, 2010 at Greenbrier Nursing Home in Palestine. Burial at Tennessee Colony Cemetery is under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home. He was born October 24, 1923 in Montalba, Texas to the late W.B. "Bert" and Zillia Ann Holcomb Ingram. He was a water supervisor for the City of Palestine and a member of the VFW and the DAV. He is survived by his wife, Lois Ingram; daughter, Marcy Dyer; sisters, Johnnie Corley, and Imogene Collins; brothers; Billy Ingram, and Delton Ray Ingram; grandchildren, Brandon Carr and wife Ashley, and Hailey Dyer; and great grandchildren, Madison and Olivia Carr.
