Virginia Estelle Lenart Dittfurth, 68, of Cypress passed away December 10, 2010. Visitation was held at Klein Funeral Home. Funeral service and mass were held at Christ the Redeemer with Msgnr. Charles Domec officiating. Burial followed at Klein Memorial Park-Tomball added bio by: Dawn Kelley From the Houston (TX) Chronicle, Dec. 12, 2010: Virginia Estelle Lenart Dittfurth Jeanie, Mom, Nana, passed on to the arms of our Lord and Savior on December 10, 2010. Born Aug. 22, 1942 in Houston, TX. Married to Roy E. Dittfurth for 49 years, their marriage was blessed with 2 children. Predeceased by her son John, father A. J. Lenart, sister Carolyn Peterson and brother James C. Lenart Sr. Survived by husband Roy; daughter Christine Hogan, son-in-law Charles E. Hogan II; grandchildren Kirsten Beverly Hogan and Charles E. Hogan III; sister M. Kathryn Dishman, brother-in-law Michael Dishman; sister-in-laws Beverly Dittfurth Woods, Ellen Lenart, brother-in-law William T. Peterson Jr.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Virginia graduated from St. Agnes Academy, was a Religious Ed instructor and Parish Council member at Assumption Catholic Church and Prince of Peace. She was a member of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church since its inception. Virginia was a loyal employee of Metro National Corp. retiring as Accounts Payable Supervisor. After retirement she worked for CFISD Food Services. She was a tireless worker wherever employed. Virginia was the strength and the glue that held her family together and loved everyone. Visitation at Klein Funeral Home on Wortham Blvd. Funeral on Monday Dec. 13, 2010, 5 -8 P.M. Mass at Christ the Redeemer on Dec. 14, 2010 at 2:30 P.M. Msgnr. Charles Domec. Burial to follow at Klein Memorial Cemetery, Decker Prairie, TX. Thanks to Dr. Vanketesh, Fr. John-Vincent Rouse and the Vitas nursing staff at Memorial Hermann Memorial City who lovingly cared for her. Remembrances can be sent to the American Cancer Society for lung cancer research.
