Cox, Verda Lorene – 2007 Gainesville Daily Register, November 2, 2007 Services for Verda Lorene Cox, 92, of Collinsville are set for 10 am Monday at Clement-Keel Chapel with Rev. Tony Norman, Baptist minister, officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery under the direction of the Clement-Keel Funeral Home of Gainesville. Mrs. Cox died Nov. 1, 2007, at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center. She was born Sept. 18, 1915, in Tioga to Robert James and Allie Mae (Jennings) Fulmer. On April 4, 1933, she married Marion John Cox in Durant, Okla. She retired from Linda Jo Shoe Company after 26 years of service. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, John and Betty Cox of Collinsville; daughters and son-in-law; Gloria Breedlove of Thackerville, Okla., Margie Wade of Thackerville, Okla.; and Evelyn and Mitchell Hayes of Valley View; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; brother, James Fulmer of Dallas; and sister, Faye Green of Dallas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marion John Cox in 1997; and one great-grandson. Pallbearers are family.
