James C. "Jim" Dismuke, age 81, of Wake Village, Texas, died Wednesday, December 8, 2010 in a local nursing home. Mr. Dismuke was born May 17, 1929 in Palestine, Texas and lived in Wake Village, Texas for four and a half years moving from Palestine. He was retired from the United States Army after thirty nine years of service to his country. While in the Army he was stationed at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. for part of his career. He was a former City Judge for the city of Jefferson, Texas. He was also retired from the State Welfare Department of Texas in Jefferson, Texas, and a member of Nash First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Dismuke; one daughter and son-in-law, Billie and Harry Gentry; one son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Pam Gill; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Betty Jo and Howard Gordon and Martha Lou Williams; three grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Burial: Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Chapelwood Funeral Home, Nash, Texas
