Bio

Margurette was the daughter of Albert Army and Eula Meredith Dismuke. Her parents are also buried in Garden of Memories Cemetery. She married Roy Monceaux. OBITUARY: Palestine (TX) Herald-Press, Wednesday, 4 December 1991: Services for Margurette Dismuke Monceaux, 58, of Palestine, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Grasty officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery, near Elkhart. Mrs. Monceaux died Wednesday at the Villa Inn Nursing Center after a brief illness. She was born Feb. 1, 1933, in Palestine to Albert Army and Eula Meredith Dismuke. Mrs. Monceaux attended public schools in Orange, and was a homemaker and member of a Southern Baptist Church in Freeport. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Roy Monceaux. Mrs. Monceaux is survived by her daughters, Royce Monceaux and Pattie Monceaux, both of Freeport; sisters, Carmine Dismuke Gerber of Texarkana, Betty Dismuke Gordon of Olathe, Kan., and Martha Dismuke Williams of Conroe; brother, Jack B. Dismuke of Texarkana and Jim Dismuke of Neches; two grandchildren, and her stepmother, Gracie Dismuke of Willis. Pallbearers will be Carl Blue, Jay Cantrell, Scott Froese, All Goodman, John Lanier and Berl Wood. Condolence calls will be received from 7 p.m. to 8:30 today at the funeral home.
