The Belle Plaine Union, Thursday, March 2nd, 1955 page 9 Anna Mary Pavlicek was born January 20, 1880 in Tama county, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Novak, and passed away at her home in Belle Plaine Tuesday, February 22, 1955. She attended the rural schools in Tama county, in December, 1900, she was united in marriage to James F. Pavlicek. Six children were born to this union. For two years following their marriage they farmed here , then moved to South Dakota where they farmed for 40 years, moving back to Belle Plaine eight years ago. She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister, two children, Mamie and Emil, and her husband passed away in 1947. Those surviving are Mrs. Emma Kapucian of Keystone; Mrs. Agnes Manley of Cedar Rapids; John Pavlicek of Shasta, California; and Blanche Pavlicek of Washington, D.C. She also leaves three grandchildren, two brothers, and two sisters: Frank Novak of Kaylor, South Dakota; Vince Novak of Lesterville, South Dakota; Mrs. Julia Hora of Marion, South Dakota; and Mrs. Agnes Suchy of Elberon, and a number of other relatives and friends. Services were held at Hrabak's Funeral home in charge of Rev, Paul H. Heath, pastor of Christ Methodist church, at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 25. Soloist was Thelma Shadle with Grace Morek as accompanist. Pallbearers were Louis Kapucian, Emil Kapucian, Loren F. Manley, and James L. Manley. Burial was in the National cemetery at Vining
