OBITUARY FROM THE LIBERTY VINDICATOR, Thursday, November 12, 1970 JOE KOMAREK EASTGATE--Funeral services for Joe Komarek, 79, of Eastgate were held at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Anne's Catholic Church with the Rev. Evan Goutreau officiating. Burial was in the Eastgate Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton. Komarek died early Wednesday in his home. He was a native of Czechoslovakia, coming here in 1923. He served in the Austro-Hungarian Army in 1916-17 and the Czechoslovakian army. Surviving are three sons, Earnest J. Komarek of Houston and Frank S. Komarek and Jerry S. Komarek of Pasadena; two daughters, Mrs. Jarmilla Korenek of Pasadena and Mrs. Ann M. Wojcik of Houston; one brother, Frank Komarek of Czechoslovakia; one sister, Mrs. Agnes Teply of Czechoslovakia and 16 grandchildren. Contributor: Daniel Bode (46863523) • [email protected]
