James Robert Martin was born February 17, 1932 in Liberty Grove, Texas to John Martin and Mary Annette Spence, and passed away in Dallas, Texas November 28, 2010. James is survived by six sisters Euna Faye Simmons-Jones, Mary Blanton, Mildred Coker, Betty Robinson, Shirley Smith, and Edie L. Zehr; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers Johnnie Ray, and David Earl Martin. and sister Stella Carter. Visitation will be Tuesday November 30, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday December 1, 2010 at Laurel Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ted Kiser Officiating. Interment will follow at Laurel Oaks Memorial Park.
