Bio

Nancy was the daughter of George Washington and Mary Allen. She more than likely met her husband, Hery Havard in Rosinton community (near Robertsdale, Alabama). Henry was working in there in the early 1870s and several of Nancy's family lived in that area during that time.. Nancy and Henry were among the first members of the Perdido Baptist Church, which they helped organize in 1882 at Perdido, Baldwin County, Alabama. Nancy's only claim to fame is that she was the first interment in the Perdido Baptist Church Cemetery. Nancy was buried there in 1903 as it was a family cemetery at that time, then her husband in 1907 donted the section of land were she was buried to be used as the church cemetery for the Perdido Baptist Church.
