Funeral services for Nancy Christ, 65, of Rosenberg will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 3, 2010 at St. John's United Church of Christ in Rosenberg with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Dr. Dale Staggemeier will officiate the services. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 2, 2010 in the State Room of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Nancy was born August 18, 1945 in Sugar Land to Otto Joe and Annie Marie (Ernest) Kunz. She graduated from Lamar Consolidated High School in 1963 and married Allen R. Christ on June 15, 1963. They were married for over 47 years. She worked for several different companies through the years including Sinclair Gas, Dickies Work Clothes Rental, R.B. Little Travelers, Stafford Trucking and Lamar CISD where she retired after 26 years of service. Nancy was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, a life member of the Fort Bend County Fair and past president of Lamar Educational Secretaries Association. She was a faithful Elvis Presley fan, loved going to barbecue cook offs and enjoyed camping. Nancy was devoted to her family and friends She passed away November 30, 2010 in Sugar Land. She is preceded in death by her parents, Annie and Otto Kunz; son, Allen R. Christ, Jr.; brother, Ronald Kunz; and mother-in-law, Ella Mesecke Christ and father-in-law, Fritz Christ. Nancy is survived by her husband, Allen R. Christ; sisters, Shirley Kaminski, Bernice Kopycinski and husband, Billy, Pat Wafer and husband, Bruce, Bobbie Hargus and husband, Robert; sisters-in-law, Linda Kunz, Nolee Koebelen, Lovalee Horak, Vallie Urbanek and Bernice Christ; godchild, Wendy Elster Todd; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She is also leaves behind her pets, Teddy Bear, Sugar #2, Baby Girl and Toby #2.
