Herald Coaster, February 15, 1995: Funeral services for Otto Joe Kunz, 80, of Richmond, will be held Thursday, Feb. 16, 1995, at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg. A rosary service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 15, at 7:30 p.m. at Davis Chapel, with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park at 3900 B.F. Terry (FM 2218 & Hwy. 59), Rosenberg. Rev Howard Drabek will officiate the services. Mr. Kunz was born October 27, 1914 in Moulton. He passed away Feb. 13 in Houston. He is a member of the Farmer's Union. He is preceded in death by his brother, Rudy Kunz; brothers-in-law, Joe and Alvin Ernest; sons-in-law, Stanley W. Kaminski and Raymond Vacek Jr. of Fairchild; grandchildren, Allen Christ Jr. and Bonnie Lee Vacek. Mr. Kunz is survived by his wife of 59 years, Annie Ernest Kunz; daughters, Shirley Kaminski of Fairchild, Bernice Kopycinski and husband, Billy, of Pleak, Pat Wafer and husband, Bruce, of Pleak, Nancy Christ and husband, Allen, of Rosenberg, and Bobby Hargus and husband, Robert, of Fairchild. Also survived by sons, Ronald Kunz and wife, Linda, of Pleak; brother, Joe Kunz and wife, Marie of Pleak; sisters, Minnie Riedel of Pleak, Julie Rankin of Richmond, and Stephanie Perrard of Pearland; sisters-in-law, Ruth Kunz of Pleak, Elenora Ernest of Rosenberg; brother-in-law, Edward Ernest and wife, Leona, of Rosenberg. Also, 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Lee Kovarcik, John Kovarcik, Thomas Kaminski, Troy Kunz, Steven Kunz, and Eugene Freudensprung. Honorary pallbearers are Stanley O. Kaminski, Jason Vacek, and Scott Moore. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Holy Rosary Building Fund: "Keep the Vision Alive". Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry (FM 2218 & Hwy. 59). Rosenberg, 341-8800. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
