The following obituary was published in the Herald Coaster on October 19, 1987: "Hulda Richter" Funeral services for Hulda Richter, 97, of Needville, were 2 p.m. Sunday at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Needville. Officiating the service was Rev. George Kuebler. Burial was in Cottonwood Cemetery. Hulda Richter died Friday in Needville. Hulda Richter was a native of Kinney and was a resident of Needville since 1956. She was a member of the Women's Guild of Needville and of the Immanuel United Church of Christ. Survivors include a daughter, Elsie Mahlmann of Damon; a son, Herbert Richter of Needville; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Church of Christ. Services were under the direction of Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors in Needville.* * *
