Herald Coaster, May 7, 1965: Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Wesatzke, 68, of Rosenberg, were held Sunday, May 2, at 9 p.m. from the Peace American Lutheran Church in Rosenberg, Rev. A.L. Pfennig officiating. Mrs. Wesatzke passed away about 1:45 p.m. Friday, April 30, after a short stay in the Memorial Hospital in Houston. Born in Kenney, she had been a resident of Rosenberg since 1926. Survivors are her husband, Otto Wesatzke of Rosenberg; four sons, Edgar Wesatzke and Le Roy of Houston, Odell Wesatzke, now serving in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific, and William Wesatzke of Austin; four daughters, Mrs. Elda Bryant of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Arine West of Houston, Mrs. Raymond Weber of Rosenberg, and Mrs. Edna Novrell of El Paso; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; one brother, Otto Tiemann of Orchard; and five sisters, Mrs. Sophie Winkelman of Kenney, Mrs. Louise Schroeder of Brenham, Mrs. Matilda Schurnberg of Houston, Mrs. Hulda Richter of Needville, and Mrs. Malinda Schuneberg of Ganado. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery under the direction of Garmany and Co. Funeral Directors.
