While growing up he lived in a number of places while his father served in the U.S. Air Force. Marcus graduated from high school in Fort Worth, TX. He attended college in Albuquerque, NM before transferring to South Dakota State University in Brookings, where he earned a bachelor's degree. Marcus worked as a dispatcher for Marquardt Trucking in Yankton, SD. Grateful for having shared his life are his parents, Woody and Nancy Wendland, Sioux Falls, SD; his sister, Wendy Larson, Sioux Falls, SD; a nephew and two nieces, Skylar Larson, Ciara Larson and Aireal Larson; two aunts, Sally Harriman, Hartford, SD, Dee Daniel, Ft. Worth, TX; an uncle, Bob Broline, of California; his faithful canine companion, Mia Jean; and a host of other relatives and friends.
