Bio
Nancy A. (Broline) Wendland, age 83, died Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at her home with family by her side. She was born October 17, 1940, to Edwin and Pat (Buus) Broline. Nancy was united in marriage to Derwood Wendland in 1967. They traveled extensively through the U.S. and overseas during her husband's service in the United States Air Force. After Woody's retirement, they made their home in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Nancy took great pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her final years, she lived with her sister, Sally, and brother-in-law, Duane. We are grateful for the life of our feisty and opinionated little Nancy. All her family and friends knew she loved them and always wanted their happiness. Survivors include her sister, Sally (Duane) Nelson; brother, Bob (Jill) Broline; two granddaughters, Aireal Larson; Ciera Larson; one great-grandson, Carter Scheidt; and one great-granddaughter, Lexus Larson. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Woody; two children, Marcus Wendland; Wendy Larson; and her grandson, Skylar Larson. Graveside service in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Sioux Falls, SD. George Boom Funeral Home.
