Bio

Obituary Mrs. Marie Gunnink, 79, of 401 Westview, died August 12 at Beloit Hospital following a long illness. She was born December 24, 1892, in Sioux County, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Jenny VanDalfsen Koele. She was married to John Gunnink February 11, 1915, at Hull, Iowa. Mr. and Mrs. John Gunnink moved to the Doon area in 1920 and to South Dakota in 1927. They moved to the Clinton area in 1944 and to the village in 1950. She was a member of the Emmanuel Reformed Church, Clinton, and it's guild. Survivors include her husband, John; a daughter, Mrs. Bert Schut of Clinton, and two sons, Harold of Brandon, Wise, and Harvey of Crookston, Neb., as well at 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by eight brothers and sisters. Services were Tuesday at the Emmanuel Reformed Church, the Rev. Voskull, Brandon, officiating. Burial was in the Clinton Cemetery.
