Bio

Henry E. Koele passed away Tuesday, June 25 at his home at the age of 64 years. Funeral services were held Friday, June 28 at 1 p.m. from his home and 1:30 p.m. from the American Reformed church with Rev. Harold Ringenoldus officiating. Interment was made in Hope cemetery with Kraai Funeral home in charge. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth, one daughter, Ruth (Mrs. Kenneth Mitchell) and one son, Earl Koele, both of Des Moines, seven grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. G.J. Leusink, Mrs. John Gunnink, both of Clinton, Wis., Mrs. Wm. Faas of Sanborn. Preceding in death was one son, Raymond who died in action in World War II and one grandchild and seven brothers. -Obituary from The Sioux Center News (7/4/1963)
