Bio

LOVIE ELIZABETH RITNOUR PEACE Lizzie was born to Clay Ritnour and Jennie Murray in Jackson, Mississippi, Feb. 28, 1867. She died Sept. 10, 1958 in Tenaha, Shelby County, Texas. Lizzie married William "Willie" Hiram Peace around 1881. William Hiram was the son of Blackburn Peace and Modenia Wheeler. To this union the following children were born: Ella Mae, Lou, James Matterson, Nettie May, Christopher Adam, Dewey Blackburn, Goopin W., and Vergie Peace. they had at least one other child that died young whose name is not listed. The 1900 Census of Shelby County, Texas, states that they lived in Farm Schedule # 15/15. Lizzie was the mother of 7 children, 6 living. She had been married for 19 years.
