Lee Walters, son of Albert and Mary Rhoads Walters, was born in Camden County, Missouri, on September 27, 1913, and died at Wallace Hospi8tal in Lebanon on April 4, 1970. On November 25, 1933, he was married to Alta Eidson. Mr. Walters spent most of his life in the Lebanon area, being in the automobile business most of his time. He became a member of the Taylor Avenue Church of God in April of 1969 and attended as long as his health permitted. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John and Claude; and a granddaughter. Survivors include his wife, Alta; two sons, Glenn of Lebanon and Michael of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Lewis, Raleigh, North Carolina and Mrs. J.D. Robertson, Austin, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Elmer Jenkins, Lebanon; six brothers, Chester, Joe and Bernie, all of Lebanon, Press and Edger of Springfield and Opal of Salem, Oregon; and six grandchildren. Funeral services for Lee Walters, 56, of Lebanon, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 6, 1970, in Palmer-Pickering Chapel with the Rev. Barney W. Burgin officiating. Burial was in Mt. Rose Memorial Park. Raymond Medley, Lois Davis, Louise Peterson, and JoAnn Hart sang three selections: "In The Garden," "Does Jesus Care," and "Farther Along." Escorts were Floyd and Gene Eidson, Wendell Carlson, Boyd Scott, John Gaines, and Elmer Jenkins.
