Bio

The Herald Democrat Sherman, Texas October 19, 2010 Dorothy Atkins Tillett was born December 3, 1914, in Van Alstyne to William Allison Kemp and Sarah Shaw. She was a seamstress retiring from Haggar Slacks Company. Dorothy is survived by two sons, Buddy Atkins of Plano and Choice Atkins of Van Alstyne; two daughters, Jean Caldwell of Sherman and Annie Warden of McKinney; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2010, in the Van Alstyne Cemetery in Van Alstyne with Rev. Glen Murphy officiating.
