Bio

Joseph J. Petru, 83, of Seadrift, passed away, Sept. 30, 2010. He was born Feb. 27, 1927 in Corpus Christi to the late Edward and Angelina Petru. He served his country in the military and was a Catholic. Joseph is survived by his wife, Teresa Petru; his sisters, Edith Krenek, Angelina Kapusta and Lillian Steffek; brothers, Lewis Petru, Godfrey Petru, Henry Petru and Edward Petru; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Denise Marie Petru; and his sister, Cecilia Holland. Funeral Mass will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Seadrift. Burial will follow at Seadrift Cemetery. Richardson Colonial Funeral Home of Port Lavaca is in charge of the arrangements. 361-552-2988.
