Bio

Edith Petru Krenek, 94, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016. She was born on September 25, 1922, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to the late Edward J. and Angelina Motal Petru. Edith cared for her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church, active in the Altar Society, sang in the choir, and a member of the KJZT Society. Edith was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerome V. Krenek; son, John Krenek; sister, Cecilia F. Petru Holland; and brothers, Louis Ernest Petru, Godfrey J. "Pete" Petru, Edward Joseph Petru Jr., and Joseph J. Petru. Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2016, at Colonial Funeral Home followed by a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2016, at Saint Mary's Catholic Church.
