Mrs. Joseph Makovicka died Wednesday, July 5, following a long illness. '''''''''''''''''''' People's Banner (David City, Nebr.), July 13, 1922, p. 2, col. 4 BELLWOOD In the passing of Mrs. Joe Makovicka from our midst by death Alexis township loses one of her best women. She had been ill for a long time but was a patient sufferer and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Funeral was held on Friday last at the Catholic church and burial at the Catholic cemetery east of town.
