Martha Ann Recker, 87, of Lamont, IA died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2001, in West Village Care Center, Independence, after a short illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, St. Mary's Catholic Church, by the Rev. Jack Paisley. Burial: St. Albert's Cemetery, east of Lamont. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Fawcett Funeral Home, Lamont, where there will be a rosary at 3:30 p.m. and Scripture service at 7 p.m. Survivors include four sons, LeRoy (Helen) of Lamont, Jerry (Karen) of Lamont, Donnie (Terry) of Youngstown, Ariz., and Wayne of Lamont; three daughters, Norma (Brice) Goldsmith of Oelwein, Donna (Edward) Wolfe of Quasqueton and Janette (Ken) VandeVoorde of Aurora; 26 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lorena Esch of Merna, Neb.; and a brother, Conrad Grundmeyer of Oelwein. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Surmeir Grundmeyer; her husband, Edwin; a son, Ralph; a grandson, Jeffrey; a brother, Fred Grundmeyer; and two sisters, Emma Velder and Anna Marie Grundmeyer. ..Cedar Rapids, IA Gazette.
