Bio

Mr. George Albert Nelson, Sr., a resident of Hawkinsville, died July 17, after a long illness. Mr. Nelson was born in Houston county August 30, 1878, the son of the late John Nelson and Mrs. Martha Stripling Nelson. Mr. Nelson had farmed extensively and also had interests in the Bank of Finleyson. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in the Pulaski High district. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nettie Stevens Nelson; three daughters, Mrs. John H. Daniel of Finleyson, Mrs. Tommy Hunt of Perry, Mrs. Kathleen Dorminy of McRae; one son, George A. Nelson, Jr. of Finleyson; three brothers, W. E. Nelson of Vienna, C. L. Nelson of Eastman and F. M. Nelson of Hawkinsville.
