Bio
Lorenzo Dow "Rannie" Teater was the son of Leander D. Teater and Jenny Cupp. He was the grandson of William N. Teater and Mary Ann "Ruffner" Teater of PA and IL and the grandson of Catherine Cupp of Knox County TN. Rannie moved to Calhoun County from TN when he was about ten years with his parents, siblings, and maternal grandmother, Catherine Cupp. His father, Leander, was employed as a Section Foreman by the railroad. Rannie married Esther Patterson, daughter of Wiley J. Patterson and Allie "Douglas" Patterson, on June 8, 1913. Rannie was the owner of a barber shop in Hampton, AR in the early 1920's. He was the father of Leroy, Doyle, Helen, & Virgil. Grandfather of Myrle & Linda; Michael, Billy, Bobby, & Ruby Nell; Virgil Jr., Tommy, Gary, & Della Ann. Great-Grandfather of Charles Lynn & Michael Hopper; Rannie Jack, Tony, Steven and Kristi Teater; Merle Dewayne, Chad, Franklin Scott, Brittany, and Linda Janel Coke; Tommy Linden Jr. , Kandace, Jordan, Tommi Williams.
