Bio

Virgil Linden Williams was born June 23, 1923 in Calhoun County Arkansas to Rannie and Esther (Patterson) Teater of Hampton. He was the adopted son of Chess and Bessie (Street) Williams of Hilleman, Arkansas. Virgil was married to Flodella Pendergist on May 12, 1946 and they were the parents of Virgil Williams Jr., Tommy Linden Williams, Gary Wayne Williams and Della Ann Williams. He was married June 20, 1992 to Sallie Hembree. Virgil was a brother to Leroy and Doyle Teater of Hampton, Arkansas and Helen (Teater) Coke of Camden, Arkansas. He attended Hilleman Schools and served in the United States Army during World War II and received many medals for his bravery and service. He was a farmer and retired after twenty-three years from the Agricultural Soil Conservation Service. He was a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church.
