Arcadia Champion, Arcadia, Nebraska, Thursday, May 12, 1910, Page 1, Column 3 Obituary Mrs. Bertha Etta Edmunds passed away, May 4th, 1910 at the age of 32 years, 5 months and 12 days. Mrs. Edmunds was the oldest daughter of Mr. August Luedtke, with whom we are nearly all acquainted, being one of the old settlers of Valley County. Almost three months ago her mother, Mrs. Luedtke passed to the great beyond and no one thought at that time how soon she would follow her to eternity. In 1901 she was married to William Edmunds and to this union were born two daughters. Besides her husband, she leaves one son, two daughters, father, three brothers and one sister who survive her. Besides her family a large circle of friends, who are grieved to hear of her death. A devoted wife and a kind, loving mother, she was beloved by all who knew her, self sacrificing in love and labor for her relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the home. Rev. Evans of the Congregational church officiating. The body was laid to rest in the Lee Park Cemetery.
