Mrs. Mary H. Brown Buried at Old Hall Mrs. Mary H. Brown, wife of J. T. Brown, a resident of this section for about 35 years, died at the family home west of Lewisville, Sunday night at 9 o'clock, following a brief illness. Funeral services were conducted at the First Baptist Church Monday afternoon by the Revs. James L. Childs, Clarence Bounds and J. L. Cleveland. Mrs. Brown was born in Illinois, October 26, 1860 and came to Texas in 1878. She was married to J. T. Brown, January 15, 1879. To this union were born nine children, six of whom survive; John, Evans, Lee and Joe Brown, Mrs. M. M. McCommas and Mrs. Charley Wilson. She is also survived by one brother, John Roberson (mispelled in the newspaper) of Ardmore, Oklahoma and three sisters, Mrs. Zinnie Lamkin, Mrs. Josie Windsor and Mrs. Mandy McCommas, all of Dallas. Interment was in the Old Hall Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ed McCommas, Archer Brown, Raymond Jones, Hubert Hamlin, Vernon Prewitt and Olen Newton. Lewisville Enterprise, March 22, 1928
