OBITUARY Emma Rousek Emma E. Rousek, 92, of Comstock died Tuesday, Aug. 28 at Heritage Hall in Broken Bow. Services were Thursday, Aug. 30 at 11 a.m. at United Methodist Church in Comstock. The Rev. Steve Flader officiated. Burial was in Douglas Grove Cemetery at Comstock. Mrs. James Riddle was organist for the services and Clayton Montanye was soloist. Pallbearers were Wendell Hovie, Richard Stone, James Riddle, Willis Wells, Ted Erikson and Vernon Erikson. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Charles Howery, Ralph Piersol, Orlie Watts, William Higgins, Jim Sorensen, William Reckling, Vance Grabowski and O. W. Riddle. Visitation was Wednesday until 9 p.m. at Rhoad Funeral Chapel in Sargent. Mrs. Rousek was born April 3, 1892 in Hamilton County, the daughter of Victor and Mary Bister Nelson. She received her education in Hamilton County and Wescott School west of Comstock. She married John Rousek March 14, 1921 at Omaha. They lived in Comstock where they operated a garage, and in the summers they farmed wheat in Martin, S.D. Mr. Rousek died in May of 1936. She moved to Heritage Hall in Broken Bow in 1980. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge in Comstock. Survivors include one daughter, Jean Marsh of Comstock; three step-daughters, Emma Rousek and Alice Bartu, both of Los Angeles, Calif. and Agnes Tvrdik of Ord; two sisters, Agnes Olson of Martin, S.D. and Dora Newquist of Omaha; two brothers, Dwight Nelson of Martin, S.D. and Walter Nelson of Comstock.
