Bio
Mary Gelnar, age 96, of Tuttle, passed away Thursday Aug. 12, 2010 in Tuttle. She was born Nov 28, 1913 in Willow, OK and spent most of her life on the family farm in Tuttle. Mary loved raising her chickens and cooking & baking, always ready to try a new recipe. She also enjoyed her flower & vegetable gardens, hand quilting, and embroidery. She was a member of St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church in Yukon. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Anton, brothers George, Tony & Frank Ruzicka, and sister Rose Hrdy. Survivors include her son Don of OKC, daughter Linda Gelnar of Tuttle, brother Rudy Ruzicka of Yukon, sisters Josephine Dolezal of Yukon, Bess Grossman of Yukon, Anna Bales of Richland, and Frances Kouba of Yukon, and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Monday Aug. 16 at 10 AM in the Frisco Cemetery north of Yukon. Friends may sign our online guest book at www.smith-turnermortuary.com.
