Obituary for Josephine Dolezal Josephine Dolezal Josephine A. Dolezal, 99, of Yukon, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on August 9, 2017, in Kingwood, Texas. Josephine was born on November 24, 1917 in Willow, Oklahoma. After moving to Yukon, she married Edward Dolezal in 1940, her husband of 41 years until his death in 1981. They were long-time residents on their farm south east of Yukon. She was a hard working, selfless person who loved farm life, her family and nature. She enjoyed traveling, seeing the world, and in her later years collecting ceramics depicting farm life and especially birds. She was actively involved in the Czech community, baking kolaches for the Czech festival and participating in committees at the Czech Hall. She entered baked and canned goods in the County and State fairs for which she won many ribbons. On a Saturday night, you would find her at the Czech Hall dancing, enjoying polka music, and her many friends. She is survived by sons George Dolezal and his wife Reba of Spring, TX, and Eddie Dolezal and wife Trish of Porter, TX; 4 grandchildren: Angela Weirauch and husband, Andy; Lyle Dolezal and wife, Tisha; Gregory Dolezal and wife, Leslie; and Alan Dolezal and wife, Stephanie; 9 great grandchildren: Audrey, Ava and Anna Weirauch; Reese and Rhett Dolezal; Carson and Allie Dolezal; Austin and Camryn Dolezal. She is also survived by Gregory and Angela’s mother, Susan Dolezal, her sisters Bessie Grossman and Frances Kouba; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward, her parents Frank and Anna Ruzicka, brothers George Ruzicka, Anton Ruzicka, Frank Ruzicka and Rudy Ruzicka, sisters, Rose Hrdy, Anna Bales and Mary Gelnar. Services for Josephine will be held at Smith Turner Mortuary in Yukon on Tuesday, August 15th. Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. with services at 2:00 p.m. and burial immediately following at the Yukon cemetery. Friends may sign our online guest book at www.smith-turnermortuary.com.
