Bio

w/o Peter Zickel Jr Mattie Mudgett, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Myron Mudgett was born May 26, 1865, south of Galesburg and has lived partically all of her life in or around that place. She was married November 11, 1884 to Peter Zickel at Galesburg and to this union nine children were born, eight of whom are now living, Pearl Peery, Laura Peery, Lettie Meninga, Eva Ver Steeg, Arline Schultz, Frank Zickel, Harry Zickel, and Guy Zickel. Funeral services for Mrs. Peter Zickel, who died at the Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines Sunday, following an operation for cancer, were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Christian Church at Galesburg, IA. Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery, North of Galesburg. Her husband also survives her. An obituary was published.
