Bio

Mrs Eliza Mudgett died at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs A.A. Brush, 108 Summit Avenue[Shenandoah]. She was born in Indiana Aug 26, 1838 and her age was 76 years. Her maiden name was Stine. She was the mother of nine children who are living and all expected to come to the funeral. Her husband died three years ago and was buried at Coin to which place they came twenty years ago, coming from Jasper Co. The children are: Mrs Francis Rockhill of Emerson; Mrs Mattie Zicell, Galesburg; Mrs Alice Bartles, Shenandoah; Mrs Eliza Holden, White Rock, S.D.; John Mudgett, Monroe, Ia; Mrs A. A. Brush, Phillip Mudgett, Monroe; and Mrs Emma Flickinger, Stockham, Neb. The funeral services were held yesterday at the Brush residence, conducted by Rev Simpson, for grandma was a member of the Methodist church.
