MARION M. WELLS Marion Mabel Cole Wells, age 81, of Sargent Nebraska died Sunday, July 7, 1991 at the Sargent District Hospital. Marion was born August 24, 1909 on the Cole Farm north of Sargent to Carl and Clara Cole. She attended Morns School and then graduated from Sargent High School, Class of'26. Marion •attended Wesleyan in Lincoln, and taught school as a young woman. She married Harry F. Satterfield of Taylor on October 28, 1929. A daughter, Dorlea was born in November 1930 after he died in July of 1930. February 10, 1934 Marion married Lee Wells of Taylor, living on a farm northwest of Taylor. In 1936 they moved to Morrill, Nebraska. A son Carl was born in 1938. He was born in Sargent though the family was living in Morrill. A move to Huntley, Wyoming followed in 1939. Later the family moved to Chadron Nebraska in 1950. In 1961, Lee and Marion returned to Sargent to farm just northwest of town where they have resided until the present time. She is a member of the United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, Country Club, Kensington, and a Neighborhood Card Club. Survivors include her husband Lee; daughter Dorlea McWilliams of Abilene, Texas; and son Carl of Valentine, Nebraska. Five grandchildren, Jeffrey McWilliams of Bakersfield, California; Dean McWilliams of Batesville, Arkansas; Michael Wells of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Brad Wells of Broken Bow; and Michelle Belitz of Palmer, Nebraska; Seven great grandchildren. A sister-in-law, Wilmet Cole of Sargent, and a niece, Barbara Beals and her two children, John and Holly all of Plattsmouth, along with several cousins. Marion was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Lloyd and Fred Cole, and one great-granddaughter, Kelsey Belitz.
